Over the centuries countless couples have chosen St Edburgha’s Church for their wedding service. Right through to today we continue to marry and bless couples as they embark on the adventure that is marriage. Whether their ceremony was 60 years ago or just last year, it is a great privilege to hear the fond memories of folks married in our ancient parish church.
Join us this summer as we hold a very special service to reaffirm the sacred vows you and your spouse made to one another be that decades ago or just last year!
We look forward to sharing this joyful celebration with you on Saturday, 19th July at 2:00pm in St Edburgha’s Church.Booking is not required but dropping a line to the parish office if you are planning to attend will help us plan the day to better serve you. (And will help us plan the correct amount of cake and fizz!) Connect with us at:

In 2008 we were advised that we needed to make urgent repairs to our spire, tower and roof. With the help of the congregation, many friends and supporters, the wider community and various charitable trusts we were able to complete the work on the spire in 2010, the tower in 2011. and the roof in 2018. In all these cost £600,000.. In the process of re-furbishing the North Aisle a section of fictive paneling was uncovered and has been restored..
The stained glass windows have been repaired/refurbished and are once more showing their beautiful colours.
We need to turn our attention to the inside of the church building. We need a toilet and servery in the church to make it more accessible. And then there's the halls and the Trust School. The target for the whole appeal is £1 million.
As well as supporting our events - and having a great time at the same time - we will always welcome a donation, however small. See below to donate via PAYPAL
