In 2008 we were advised that we needed to make urgent repairs to our spire, tower and roof. With the help of the congregation, many friends and supporters, the wider community and various charitable trusts we were able to complete the work on the spire in 2010, the tower in 2011. and the roof in 2018. In all these cost £600,000.. In the process of re-furbishing the North Aisle a section of fictive paneling was uncovered and has been restored..
The stained glass windows have been repaired/refurbished and are once more showing their beautiful colours.
We need to turn our attention to the inside of the church building. The heating and lighting systems need major attention and no doubt by the time we get to that point other urgent jobs will be found. and then there's the halls and the Trust School. The target for the whole appeal is £1 million.
As well as supporting our events - and having a great time at the same time - we will always welcome a donation, however small.
