    Messy Church at St Edburgha's

Come and join us for the beginning of our adventure in Messy Church. We are creating this space to be open, creative, fun and explorative. The best part of all is we’ll make you lunch. We want to reach out to people into our community and provide a space to get to know one another. Aimed at families with 0–11-year-olds, we’ll create together, play together and eat together. Each session will be themed and we’ll have a short story from the Bible.

Join us on the third Saturday of most months at 10:30am until 12:30pm.

                                               17th January,  21st February, 21st March, 18th April

    RESTORATION APPEAL

    History

In 2008 we were advised that we needed to make urgent repairs to our spire, tower and roof.  With the help of  the congregation, many friends and supporters, the wider community and various charitable trusts we were able to complete the work on the spire in 2010,  the tower in 2011. and the roof in 2018. In all these cost £600,000..   In the process of re-furbishing the North Aisle a section of fictive paneling was uncovered and has been restored..

    The Present

The stained glass windows have been repaired/refurbished and are once more showing their beautiful colours.

    The Future

Now it's time to update our church’s interior. To make our parish church more useful and welcoming to the community we live in, we are progressing our plan to build an extension to house 2 toilets and provide a small servery inside the church. This will provide necessary facilities for weddings, school visits, community exhibitions and of course church events.

The estimated cost of this project is £350,000.

This is an ambitious task and we're looking for your help to succeed And then there's the halls and the Trust School.  The target for the whole appeal is £1 million.
